Chances are, if you’re tweeting from the café or the local library, or any public WiFi hotspot, you’re tweeting over an unsecured WiFi network. This can put a pretty serious damper on your own Twitter account security, but the Twitter folks have made it a lot easier to deal with.
A couple of simple steps from your Twitter settings page allow you to use HTTPS whenever you’re tweeting on an unsecured or public WiFi network, and the same goes for mobile tweeting.
