Here are some tips for optimizing your emails for mobile
So just how do you go about optimizing your marketing emails? Don’t fear, we won’t leave you in the dark! Here are a few must-do tips that help make sure your messaging shows up the way you’ve intended it to!
- Keep your messages short. People, especially on mobile devices, have a short attention span. Make punchy, alluring subject lines and content that keeps the reader engaged.
- Keep your image files small. Large files take far longer to load, and this can be a disaster as many won’t wait, and just move on, before they’ve even looked at what you’ve got for them.
- Keep your font sizes inside the main content at least 14, and headlines around 30. Anything under 13 will get automatically changed by the iPhone, and could wreck your formatting.
- Make your calls to action large enough for easy tapping. An average adult finger covers about 45 pixels (about a half inch), so bear that in mind.
- Make sure you test your marketing emails on the various mobile platforms before clicking the send button! This is worth the couple of minutes it will take!
